News From the Studios

The 14 artists in our Studio Artist Program are active professionals who contribute to the arts in Atlanta and beyond. We want you to know what they're up to.

  • David D'Agostino, Craig Drennen, Margaret Fletcher, Mark Leibert, Michael David Murphy, Michele Schuff and Dayna Thacker will all have pieces in the ART PAPERS Art Auction, Feb 5, 7-10 pm, at Mason Murer Fine Art.
  • Marc Brotherton and Craig Drennen have work in MOCA GA Salutes the Rising Movers & Shakers of the Georgia Arts Scene at MOCA GA through Mar 19.
  • Jonathan Bouknight's video Forever Young will be shown at Cine Lab in Athens, GA on Feb 2 as part of the 6x6 Media Arts Event.
  • Craig Drennen is participating in Anthony Greaney x Dan Graham x Samsøn, Cottage Home, Chinatown, Los Angeles; and Spacelift, Wall Eye Gallery, Cleveland, OH, curated by Kristin Bly. Drennen wrote "Paint Misbehavin," for the Build Up exhibition catalogue, published by Washington State University, and he also spoke recently as a visiting artist at Washington State University, Vancouver, and Washington State University, Pullman, both in WA.
  • Margaret Fletcher and Mary O'Horo have work in Align, an exploration of the use of the line in painting, drawing, photography, and alternative media, which opens at Spruill Gallery on Thu, Feb 3, 6-9 pm, and continues through Mar 19. Fletcher will also have work at the Jules Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art in Auburn, AL during the month of Feb.
  • Michele Schuff recently completed a residency at the Virginia Center for Creative Arts, in Amherst, VA.
  • Nancy VanDevender's work is included in two group exhibitions which continue through the month of February: After the Suburbs at Kiang Gallery, curated by Karen Tauches; and Sex Drive at Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery at Haverford College in Pennsylvania, curated by Stuart Horodner.
