Artist Reception: This Friday, February 4, 6 - 8 PM
2 x 2 Solos is an exhibition series featuring new work commissioned from four accomplished emerging artists based in the Oakland/Bay Area. The program recognizes artistic excellence and supports the freedom to create challenging and noncommercial work.
This year's program features solo exhibitions from Michelle Blade, Chris Fraser, Taro Hattori and Weston Teruya.

PROJECT: Nancy Chan Exhibition Dates: January 4 - February 18, 2011
For PROJECT, Oakland based artist Nancy Chan creates a site specific drawing on the walls of Pro Arts' window space. On view 24 hours a day from outside the gallery, her installation features two pairs of life size figures, richly detailed in sumi ink. |

Off Site: Quarterly at Latham Square
Featuring the work of Daniel Healey
1611 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland
December 11 - March 8, 2011
Oakland based artist Daniel Healey uses thousands of pieces of tape to create intricate landscapes of consumer objects for his exhibition at Latham Square. By using clear household tape, the artist manipulates small fragments of found ink into abstract "brush strokes" that are layered, piece by piece, into larger structures.
The exhibition is on view weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm in the Latham Square lobby located at 1611 Telegraph Ave., Oakland. Admission is free.
