In celebration of Black History Month, the Salt Space is excited to present works from the African American Art Collective in an exhibition showcasing the work of young African American artists within New York City. This exhibition includes an ambitious and diverse collection of works that feature a rich vision of a young generation. The Salt Space has collaborated with artist Karston “Skinny” Tannis to curate this exhibition. A Brooklyn native, Karston was introduced to photography and film through his active participation in the New York City BMX scene as a way to document the adventure. Featured artists include Genesis Tramaine, Charles Hearn, Ashley Posey and more. The opening reception for this exciting event will take place tonight, February 3 from 6:00pm until 10:30pm EST.
