It’s not too late to get involved in this term’s
Young People’s Saturday Art Club!!
As from Autumn Term
2010 Young People’s Saturday Art Club
has taken up residence in Colchester and Ipswich Museum’s
new contemporary art space The Ipswich Arts
School Gallery. Offering an even
more vibrant and stimulating opportunity to respond to the rolling programme and collections, old and new.
These fun and experimental art clubs
enable participants to work with practicing artists to discover new techniques
and develop artistic ideas.
Or team of experienced artist educators
will guide groups through a variety of traditional and new media so you can get
more out of the exhibitions on display within the Museum and the new Gallery.
Fortnightly sessions throughout the term
for:
p/ term £45.
Materials included
(latecomers welcome throughout term fees reduced from date of enrolment)
pay per session on request @ £10.
This term young participants will have the
opportunity to use the new show The Class
of… as a backdrop. Art Club sessions will be reflecting on the
exhibition looking at the idea of Art
School. Sessions will
look at techniques, mediums and concepts etc.
The Class of… exhibition
focuses one past Ipswich Art School teachers and students, covering a variety
of disciplines from life drawing, print, design and sculpture. Artists include
Maggi Hambling, Tom Philips, Colin Moss, Bernard Reynolds, Lawrence Self,
Richard Scott, Leonard Squirrel to name but a few. Current students from UCS
and SNC will also take over gallery space and throughout the six months will
provide a rotating range of displays and studio work.
