Distinguished publisher Edition Schellmann (est. 1969), known for publishing works by Dan Flavin, Donald Judd, Damien Hirst, Sol Lewitt and Andy Warhol, to name a few, has always taken a progressive approach to printmaking and multiples.  In the early nineties Edition Schellmann sought to realize the idea of how the concept of an installation could be made as an edition. The result was an innovative project entitled Wall Works, in which artists were asked to create site-specific wall paintings or installations.  A defined number of executions was determined (approx.12-15), in the same way a set number of prints is allotted for an edition on paper.
 

Edition Schellmann's Wall Works project has carried on for nearly 20 years. The exhibition at Greenfield Sacks Gallery includes three wall works from this ongoing project by Paul Morrison, Robin Rhode and Haim Steinbach.
