Please join us on Wednesday, February 16, at 6:30 p.m., when our guest will be Robert Wittman, best-selling author of Priceless - How I Went Undercover to Rescue The World's Stolen Treasures and the former Senior Investigator and Founder of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's National Art Crime Team. Preceding the 6:30 p.m. lecture, Mr. Wittman will be available in the Museum Store to sign copies of his book. Friends' lectures are free to Museum members at the Friend, Friends, and Sustainer membership levels. Seating is limited to 250, and reservations are recommended. Since the Members' Preview for the two exhibitions was sadly canceled due to the blizzard last week, we hope you will join us in celebration at the upcoming ART AFTER 5PM Thursday, February 17, 5-8pm. These exhibitions are wonderful and deserve a great gathering of friends! 

  

In honor of George Nelson: THE ARCHITECT, we will have a gallery conversation with Christina Hoehn and Scott Williams from the University of Oklahoma's College of Architecture and Interiors at 6:30 p.m.

 

We will also have a display of Oklahoma City architecture presented by OK Cityscape. More details to come!

Discover stories about artists, artworks, and their inspiration! Join us in the galleries as we explore unique themes connecting art and children's literature. No advance registration is required. Free with paid Museum admission. A parent or caregiver must remain with the child. At 2 p.m. this Saturday, we'll meet on the second floor in the Ossorio exhibition to talk about collecting and art assemblages. Cosponsored by the Metropolitan Library System. 

 

Art Appreciation with OSU OLLI

Oklahoma State University OLLI and OKCMOA Present "Art Appreciation."  It's not too late to enroll for the spring semester.  Class begins on Thursday, February 17th from 1-3 p.m. at the Museum. Hone your ability to understand and appreciate art through this survey course which will take you from the classroom to the galleries of the Oklahoma City Museum of Art's extensive collections. OLLI @ OSU is a program of educational courses for retirees and other adults in the community who want to enrich their lives through new learning experiences and the sharing of ideas, opinions, and talents. Questions? TRAVEL TOUR TO THE DMA

The OKCMOA Travel Tour will be Tuesday, March 1 to the Dallas Museum of Art to see the exhibition Gustav Stickley and the American Arts & Crafts Movement. The trip, accompanied by OKCMOA staff, includes travel by luxury motor coach, lunch at the Zodiac restaurant downtown, shopping at Neiman Marcus, and admission to the museum.
