A Tour of the Canada Council Art Bank with Amy Jenkins

We are very excited to announce that Amy Jenkins, Art Consultant w
ith the Canada Council Art Bank, will be giving a special behind-the-scenes tour of the Canada Council Art Bank Collection on Thursday 17 February at 7 p.m. to the LPM Collectors Group.
We encourage new members to join the Collectors Group, which meets once a month for engaging and enlightening presentations by guest speakers on art and collecting. The yearly membership fee is $50 for adults and $25 for students and we encourage Members to invite a guest at no extra charge.
The Canada Council Art Bank, in existence for 36 years, includes 18,000 paintings, prints, photographs and sculptures by over 2,500 artists, and is home to the largest collection of contemporary Canadian art in the world. All the works are available for rent by corporations, institutions, and government departments and agencies at affordable rates. As an art consultant for the Canada Council Art Bank, Amy Jenkins works with a variety of public and private sector clients in Ottawa and Toronto, and has developed her client base through her expertise in understanding clients unique needs and her extensive knowledge of contemporary Canadian art. We will meet at 6:50 p.m. at The Canada Council Art Bank, which is located at 921 St-Laurent Boulevard. Parking is available at the front of the building as well as at the east and west sides of the building in front of the chain-link fence gate. Do not park behind the chain-link fence gate as it will be locked at 8 p.m. OC Transpo buses #7 and #14 stop just before the Art Bank in front of the Surgenor car dealership.
