KENOSHA, WI – Join us for Sunday
Funday, free fun for the whole family from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb.
27 at the Kenosha Public Museums.
At the Kenosha Public Museum discover
some of the unique features of elephants and how they use them. Make
an elephant trunk. Compare modern elephants to the elephants that
used to live in Kenosha during the Ice Age Touch a real mammoth tooth
and see real elephant tusks.
Stop by the Dinosaur Discovery Museum
to find out what fossils have to do with the legend of cyclops or
even dragons. Explore how early fossil hunters interpreted
interpreted some amazing finds. View real specimens and see exhibits
to learn about their ancient stories. Challenge your family and
friends to a trivia game.
Drop by the Civil War Museum with the
whole family as we step back in time. Try your hand at everyday
frontier chores: beat a rug, pretend to churn butter, and clean
clothes with a washboard. Make a simple traveling kid for mending
clothing.
The programs are sponsored by the
Friends of the Museums.
