Chicago's New Skyline

310 conTEMPORARY Gallery takes a look at Chicago's most famous view

Next time you're wandering the Magnificent Mile, be sure to stop by 310 S. Michigan for a whole new look at Chicago.

Local artists Jeff Carter (you remember him from Spatial City), Tom Denlinger, and Jo Hormuth explore the city, the landscape, and the body with their new exhibition, Skyline. This joint exhibition of sculpture and photography is sponsored by the Hyde Park Art Center and Columbia College Photography Department as one of the Chicago Loop Alliance's Pop-Up Art Loop galleries.

Join the artists and curators at 310 conTEMPORARY Gallery for an opening reception Thursday, February 17 at 5:30 PM.

Skyline is on view now through April 9, 2011. 310 conTEMPORARY is free to visit and open to the public.

Not Just Another Pretty Face

This Sunday is the last day to find 50 new faces

Don't miss the last week of Not Just Another Pretty Face IV! The Art Center's unique exhibition, featuring the 50 commissioned artworks, closes Sunday, February 20. The work spans a huge variety of styles and subjects. Each work was commissioned by Chicago patrons.

No School on Monday?!

Days Off School gives you something better to do...

At the Folk vs. Modern Days of School program this Monday, kids will learn the difference between traditional and contemporary art. Students get to choose from the past or the present to create unique works of art.

Monday, March 7, is Wacky Hat Day! Our Days Off School campers are making wearable sculptures made out of fabric, paper, and felt.

Remember, you must pre-register for Days of School. Classes run 9 am - 3 am on Monday, February 21. Cost is $80 for members and $100 for non-members. All materials are provided. Please make sure students come with a bag lunch.

Spring Break Camps

A whole week off with nothing but ART!

Spring Break is a time to explore

and discover art with Creativity Camps. Visual and theatre arts of all kinds combine for an unforgettable week of fun! Camps run March 21 - 25 and April 18 - 22, Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm. Each camp costs $350 for members and $375 for non-members. Pack a lunch and be sure to register your kids early, since it fills up fast!
