This workshop emphasizes a linear approach to drawing. The focus will be on structure of the figure,
not on anatomy. Mr. Bailey will be present
all five days, as will a model.

 

Light and Shadow on Toned Paper with Viviane Silvera

March 21 - 24, Monday - Thursday, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Work on toned paper that is blue, green or gray and learn to use the paper as a mid-tone along with white and black charcoal to bring out the lights and darks. Working from still life and the figure, increase your understanding of value and create drawings that are sumptuous and elegant. View work from artists who excelled at this technique like Prud'hon and Rubens.
