The Precession: Second Half
A live performance brings the virtual into reality

Any sports fan knows that it's the second half when the game gets really exciting.

Welcome the second half.

On Friday and Saturday, March 4 and 5 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, March 6 at 6:30 pm, artists-in-residence Mark Jeffery and Judd Morrissey present a series of performances that are the second half to their exhibition The Precession. The performances will offer a physical interpretation of the display that has been showing on the Art Center's digital catwalk facade for the last few months.

The exhibition weaves an interpretation of labor and the night sky. The artists describe their large-scale installation and performance piece as "a data-driven networked poem". Inspiration for the exhibitions was drawn from Oskar J.W. Hansen's sculpture Winged Figures of the Republic at the Hoover Dam. The digital portion of the exhibition was developed specifically for the Jackman Goldwasser Catwalk Gallery.
