KENOSHA, WI – Learn how to make a
Towering Gretchen Tote during a two-day class with instructor Sandy Bulgrin at the Kenosha public Museum. The class will meet from 9:30 a.m.
to 3 p.m. Saturday March 5 and 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6.
This 6”x14”x12” filled-bottom
basket features a twined arrow weave and sloped sides with a 6”x20”
wood “D” handle. Natural, smoked, and dyed reed add accents..
Students finish the basket with a Gretchen braided border. A $21
materials fee is paid to the instructor on the first day of class. A
sample is on view at the Kenosha Public Museum gift shop. Cost of the
workshop is $45 or $40 for Friends of the Museums. Advance
registration is required.
