Grandeur & Catharsis:a Gao Brothers exhibition surveying the iconographic imagery of Mao and the repercussions of the Cultural Revolution in China. Works include sculpture, installation, and photography. While masterful at using sarcasm and humor, the Gao Brothers aim to disclose a visceral response to tyranny, violence, and political oppression.
