One Night Only! TONIGHT take a trip back
to the creation of a musical masterpiece
with Simon & Garfunkel
The Harmony Game: The Making of Bridge Over Troubled Water The Harmony Game tells the story behind Simon and Garfunkel's Bridge Over Troubled Water, an album shrouded in rock n' roll mythology with legendary tales of inspiration, innovation and separation. This spectacular documentary combines rare archival footage and new interviews with Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel discussing the creation and reception of Bridge Over Troubled Water, along with several of the duo's collaborators from the period: Roy Halee (co-producer/engineer), Hal Blaine (drums), Joe Osborn (bass guitar), Jimmie Haskell (arranger), and Mort Lewis (manager). A unique time-capsule of Simon & Garfunkel's writing process and of the late-1960s, The Harmony Game will be included on the forthcoming Bridge Over Troubled Water: 40th Anniversary CD+DVD. Advanced copies of the 40th Anniversary CD+DVD will be given away at each screening. Director: Jennifer LeBeau USA 72min. digital HD. Special event, all seats $10. Four Lions
Thursday, 7:30pm; Friday & Saturday, & 5:30pm & 8pm; Sunday, 2pm
A whip-smart British slapstick comedy, Four Lions takes aim at Jihadi suicide bombers and illuminates the war on terror through satire and farce. While hugely entertaining, it draws from real life and demonstrates that home grown extremists have many shortcomings but are also human. Writer/director Chris Morris based the idea on extensive research. "These cells have the same group dynamics as bachelor parties and five a side basketball teams. Plans are upset by arguments, egos, testosterone, and idiocy. Terrorism is about ideology but it's also about doofuses." Director: Christopher Morris 2010 GB 97min. R 35mm. MUSEUM STORE
Classic Trays from Vitra Designs The quality of furnishings does not only manifest itself in large objects. As important as the choice and composition of furniture, lighting and textiles are for our sense of well-being at home. It's the small things - the various accessories, pictures, plants, mementos and occasional finds we have collected - that play a major role in our emotional attachment to the home. In recent decades, only a few designers, like Charles and Ray Eames, Alexander Girard, and George Nelson, have been aware of this. They created furnishings and accessories in which small things always had an important place. It is with this thought in mind, that the Classic Trays now being brought onto the market by the Vitra design Museum should be viewed. Material is high-grade thermoset, dishwasher safe, and food safe. Available in 6 designs. $79.95 Contact the Museum Store staff for assistance, (405) 278-8233. Open Mondays, 10am-3pm. Shop online!
