Brooklyn Heights is one of the most historic and beautiful neighborhoods in all of New York City. Come early and enjoy this amazing neighborhood, just one subway stop from Manhattan! Considered to be the first suburb in America, Brooklyn Heights boasts the greatest views of lower Manhattan and brownstone mansions that rival anything on Fifth Avenue. This “not to be missed” landmark area includes the infamous former Hotel St. George, one of the most highly regarded private schools in the country, St. Ann’s, and sites from the famous lives of George Washington, Truman Capote, Arthur Miller, and Henry Ward Beecher, among many others. The commercial center of the neighborhood, Montague Street ends at the famous Promenade, which boasts one of the best views in the city, including the entire New York Harbor, the Statue of Liberty, the beautiful new Brooklyn Bridge Park, and the Brooklyn Bridge itself, a story of adventure, ambition, and triumph, and a bridge that has become the most beloved in the world.

St. Ann and the Holy Trinity Church on Montague and Clinton Streets, was designed by Minard Lafever and constructed between 1844 and 1847. Containing 7,000 square feet of stained glass windows designed in the 1840s by William and John Bolton, they are renowned as the FIRST American made stained glass. A former home of Arts at St. Ann’s, the beautiful sanctuary is currently a performance space for the One World Symphony and Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra.
