Capacitor is an interdisciplinary, non-profit dance company based in San Francisco that has been creating full-evening performances since 1999 based on scientific concepts that synthesize the body with innovative props and interactive media. Under the direction of Jodi Lomask, past works have tackled the creation of the universe (Within Outer Spaces, 2001); the past and the future of mankind (future species, 2000); the modern phenomenon of video gaming (Avatars, 2002-03); and the forest ecosystem (biome, 2007), and flower reproduction (The Perfect Flower 2009). Capacitor has been produced at venues nationally and internationally.
