Comment formuler une critique dans un contexte où les discours promotionnels abondent et où les positions d'autorité sont remises en question? Cet atelier se penchera sur les singularités de la critique d'art contemporain et actuel.

Marie-Ève Charron est critique d'art au Devoir et écrit aussi régulièrement pour la revue Esse, arts + opinions dont elle fait partie du comité de rédaction. Entre 2003 et 2006, elle était coordonnatrice de la production pour la revue Parachute. Plus récemment, elle a débuté une pratique de commissaire avec l'exposition de groupe Au travail qui a été présentée au Musée régional de Rimouski à l'été 2010. |

This workshop will provide an opportunity to write, present and discuss a short critique on a faux exhibition of works by an established contemporary artist (selected by the facilitator).

Barry Ace is a visual artist and curator, co-founder of the Aboriginal Curatorial Collective. Previously Chief Curator and Acting Chief of the Indian and Inuit Art Centres at the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development from 1994-2001, where he curated numerous exhibitions of Indian and Inuit art that have toured both nationally and internationally. |
