The TED organization is one of the most important philanthropic organizations in US. Each year one person is chosen by the TED organizers to make a wish. This year, for the first time a visual artist has been awarded the TED prize and it is JR
L'organisation TED est une organisation philanthropique les plus importantes aux Etats-Unis. Chaque année une personne est choisie par les organisateurs du TED pour faire un voeu. Cette année, pour la première fois, le prix a été attribué à un artiste plasticien et il s'agit de JR.

A wish to change the world
“A wish to change the world” is TED prize's baseline. To this JR simply answers: “Change the way you see things is already changing the world”.
“Could art change the world?” JR answers "Art is not meant to change the world" but it can. Art can "change perceptions" that ultimately "enable you to change the world". JR makes the wish for a global art project to turn the world inside out:“I wish for you to stand up for what you care, about by participating in a global art project and together will turn the world…INSIDE OUT”.
With this project, he offers to all those, individually, or even better in a group, who have something to say to make a commitment with him. JR will give them a portrait of them to be pasted in a place that matters.

Un voeu pour changer le monde
"Un vœu pour changer le monde" est ligne directrice du TED prize. À cela JR répond simplement : "Changer la façon dont vous voyez les choses change déjà le monde".
"L'art pourrait-il changer le monde ?" JR répond "l'art n’est pas destiné à changer le monde" mais il le peut. L'art peut "changer les perceptions" qui finalement "vous permettent de changer le monde".
JR fait le vœu d’un projet global d'art pour mettre le monde à l'envers : "Je veux que chacun prenne position et défende ses opinions et son histoire. Ensemble, en participant à ce projet artistique d'envergure, nous mettrons le monde sens dessus dessous".
Avec ce projet, il offre à tous ceux qui ont quelque chose à dire, individuellement, ou encore mieux en groupe, la possibilité de s’engager avec lui. JR leur donnera un portrait d'eux à coller dans un endroit qui compte.EN SAVOIR PLUS
