Walk the grounds with the Landscape Historian Sheila Wertheimer as she demonstrates the proper way to prune roses, lilacs, hydrangeas, mock orange, winterberry, and various fruit trees. Sessions will begin with a tool sharpening demonstration on an old-fashioned whetstone.

First Make-A-Painting Sunday of the Season April 3

Free Hands-On Program Every Sunday beginning April 3 1-5pm Free with Museum admission. No reservations needed.
Sunday visitors can try their hand painting, just like the Lyme Art Colony artists. Painters are given brushes, palette, paint, canvas, and a smock and are sent to paint down by the river or in Miss Florence's garden. All ages and skill levels welcome. There are also hands-on art projects, books, games and puzzles to enjoy. A great way to spend the day. Complete your day with scavenger hunts and visit the historic artist studio.
