On Symptoms of Cultural Industry investigates the role of artistic and cultural production in relation to the economic and social life of North Adams, Massachusetts. Through original research interviews with former employees of Sprague Electric, the work comprehensively manifests as an installation of performance, photography and video to form an intimate portrait of a city that has transformed from an economy of manufacturing goods and materials to increasingly manufacturing culture and information.

I Am Searching for Field Character
Organized in association with the MASS MoCA exhibition The Workers, Bureau for Open Culture inhabits a reclaimed industrial building on the grounds of the museum complex to present the exhibition series I Am Searching for Field Character. This series includes informal public conversations, performances, installations, workshops and a beer garden with a slew of artists, writers, designers and thinkers.
