Atlanta Art Now host public Information Session this Wednesday, March 16th

Greetings Atlanta Arts Supporter,

We hope that you have already RSVP'd to attend Atlanta Art Now's first public Information Session, this Wednesday, March 16th at the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center.

Local Art Critic and Writer, Cinqué Hicks, will discuss the upcoming publication of Atlanta Art Now, a book project of Possible Futures, Inc., that is designed to trace ideas and critical trends at play within Atlanta's contemporary art scene by examining the work of Atlanta-based artists engaged in the broader dialogue of contemporary art.

In his talk, Hicks, who serves as Atlanta Art Now's Creative Director, will address the major challenges taking place in Atlanta's art media landscape and will present the publication of Atlanta Art Now, as one response.  Hicks will present the purpose, history and details of this groundbreaking project, scheduled for release this fall.

Presented in cooperation with the Metro Atlanta Arts & Culture Coalition, the Info Session will also feature Barbara Nesin, President of the College Art Association, solicitng audience feedback on the regional role of the CAA.

The Atlanta Art Now Information Session will take place on Wednesday, March 16th at 6PM at the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center located at 535 Mean Street, Atlanta, GA 30318.
