Il Ramo d'Oro presents Setyo Mardiyantoro and Marilena Mercogliano in the exhibition entitled One Fine Day We See.
This exhibition at the gallery in Naples runs from March 5 through 20. The inaugurated on Match 5th included 18 hours of musical performance and Irene Generoso New Year. Friday, 11/03/2011 at 18 Antonia Soriente present the book of the Indonesian writer Ayu Utami: "Women of Saman" videotaped interview with the writer.
Set in the 90s and released in 1998, just weeks before the overthrow of the Suharto dictatorship, Saman is a novel of many voices and multiple "threads" narrative converge. Laila, a thirty year old writer and photographer, witnessing a tragic accident caused by the negligence of the superintendents in a field of oil drilling and implement, together with his friend Sihar - a worker in the field - his fight against social injustice, political, economic, human in Indonesia under Suharto is full, the battle in the door with Saman, a former priest and handsome man rose from the prison workshop in its continuous fight against oppression and for the rights of the weakest.
