Japanese Production Company Studio Happy Chicken Pink will Donate All Profits in the Month of March to the Red Cross to Aid Relief and Rescue Efforts in Japan

Los Angeles, CA/March 15, 2011 – On the heels of the devastation caused by the earthquake and Tsunami disaster that struck Japan, Japanese production company Studio Happy Chicken has vowed to donate all of its profits to the Red Cross to aid relief and rescue efforts.

“We’d like to announce that all profits we make from global sales of our releases for the month of March will be donated directly to the Japanese Red Cross,” says Charlie Maib, owner of Studio Happy Chicken headquartered in Japan.  “We are grateful that no one associated with our production company, Studio Happy Chicken Pink, was injured in the tragedy and every day our thoughts and prayers go out to those lost and struggling in the aftermath of this horrific day.”

“From a pop cultural perspective, Japan has given so much to the world,” says Maib. “Be it the films of Ozu and Kurosawa, to the music of Nobuo Umatsu and games of Shigeru Miyamoto, or even the modern day anime and manga that have become part of America's cultural lexicon.  The time has come for us to pay back this great debt.”

The studio announced that “Thai Relax,” one of the company’s strongest selling titles will be released on Blue-ray on March 22nd in an uncensored version, starring the gorgeous Ayaka Uchiyama.  Also releasing the same day are “Chaku Ero 3” and “Samurai Boys.”

What did it feel like, when the massive earthquake struck? “I was outside at the time and the ground was like Jell-o.” Maib and his staff have given their time and efforts at the Yokota Air Base, which has become the main hub for all international relief efforts.

For all of the latest up to date information on the crisis in Japan, Studio Happy Chicken urges fans to go to the Japan Times: www.japantimes.com – the most widely read English language Japanese newspaper worldwide.

Charlie Maib is available for interviews via SKYPE.

About Studio Happy Chicken Pink:

Established in April 2009, Studio Happy Chicken Pink’s concept was to launch unique videos of fresh-faced gravure idols (magazine/video models that tease the viewer in swimsuits, lingerie or various states of attire) and present them in a more imaginative, visually stimulating way than was represented in Japan’s increasing studio competition.
