Dear Arts Supporter,
Come celebrate the new exhibition at the Arlington Museum of Art. The Innovative Eye: Art by Four DFW artists will run from April 6 through May 29, 2011. The distinctive styles and diverse media of these four area artists are emphasized in this show and includes innovative visual perspectives in watercolor, oil, acrylic, encaustic and photography.
Featured artists include Soon Warren and Mazie Pannell of Fort Worth and Bonny Leibowitz and Enrique Fernandez Cervantes of Dallas. Warren is an award-winning painter and author who will show works in both watercolor and oils. Pannell, a young-at-heart octogenarian, paints lyrical fantasy portraits in acrylic. Bonny Leibowitz, owner of the Bonny Studio and teaching workshop in Richardson, Texas, shows experimental encaustic (wax) paintings and abstract oils. Enrique Fernandez Cervantes, an accomplished photographer and exhibit curator of the Bath House Cultural Center in Dallas, displays photo-paintings that reveal mystical and metaphorical narratives about common people. |
