Flute recital April 9

Peoria, IL (March 23, 2011) Sarah Brown and Sarah Casey, juniors majoring in music education at Bradley University, will present a flute recital on Saturday, April 9, at 7:30 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue.

The recital will feature Trios Duos by Kuhlau, Sonatina by Burton, Birthday Cantata by Bach, Ballade by Reinecke, Andante and Rondo by Doppler. Andrea Molina will serve as piano accompanist. Emily Volz, soprano, also will perform.

Sarah Brown is the daughter of Kim and Larry Brown of Pekin and is a 2008 graduate of Pekin Community High School.  Sarah Casey is the daughter of Kevin and Cathy Casey of Westmont and is a 2008 graduate of Westmont High School. Both students study with Dr. Kyle Dzapo of the Bradley music faculty and are preparing for careers as junior high school band directors.
