Dublin Arts Council Welcomes Spring with Garden Party

Annual Fundraiser Benefits Dublin Arts Council Programs

 

DUBLIN, Ohio— (March 25, 2011) Central Ohio residents can shake the winter blues at the annual Dublin Arts Council Garden Party on Fri., April 29 from 6:30 to 9:30pm in the lovely Kilgour Building atrium at the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) campus, 6565 Kilgour Place in Dublin. The evening features fine food and beverages from top area restaurants, a silent auction and more.

All event proceeds support Dublin Arts Council’s (DAC) many arts and arts education programs, including the DAC Sundays at Scioto free summer concert series in Scioto Park, DAC’s Visual Arts Series in the only gallery of its kind in Dublin, Gravity’s Ripple, an innovative site specific dance performance, summer ARTcamps and new and exciting Art in Public Places projects.

A variety of culinary offerings will be expertly prepared and served by some of the area’s finest, including Bleu & Fig, Bonefish Grill, Bravo Italian Kitchen, Hilton Columbus / Polaris Gemini Grille Restaurant, J.Liu Restaurant & Bar, Jeni’s Ice Creams, Longhorn Steakhouse, The Refectory Restaurant & Bistro, Sodexo Corporate Services and The Sisters Sweet Shoppe. A variety of fine wines will be provided by W.J. Deutsch & Sons.

This year’s Garden Party is hosted by honorary chairpersons Kamal Boulos and Sandra Losco of The Refectory Restaurant & Bistro. NBC 4 anchor Colleen Marshall will serve as Master of Ceremonies for the evening. Additional support is provided by OCLC, CW Columbus, Natural Designs, Ohio Arts Council and the City of Dublin. Entertainment will be provided by global musician Terrence Karn.

The evening’s festivities will also feature television personality Angie Quach, the new CW star, as host of the popular Garden Party Silent Auction, during which guests are invited to bid on a variety of offerings, including exceptional art, entertainment and sports packages, fine dining experiences and more.

Tickets to the Garden Party may be purchased in advance by calling Dublin Arts Council at (614) 889-7444.  Admission is $100 per person and includes food and beverages. Corporate sponsorships are also available for group ticket purchases.
