The
exhibition provides an overview of work produced since 1982, when Marianne Perry
Salas joined First Street Gallery as a recent MFA graduate of Brooklyn
College.
Early
works include large, figurative oils. Four years spent living in London
influenced dark, surreal landscapes, followed by a return to the United States
and a change in medium to works in watercolor. The most recent work includes
botanical illustration and still life paintings in
watercolor.
