OVERVIEW
This workshop reveals how to get the very best results in fine art digital printing using the latest pigment ink jet or photographic (C Type) printing technology.
'Fine Art Printing Masterclass' is equally relevant for photographers who produce their own prints, and those who prefer to work with technical professionals such as the Colour Factory staff, to produce prints for them. The content of the workshop is as much about the conceptual and aesthetic aspects of digital printing as it is about the technical.
The workshop begins with a viewing of prints by some of Australia's leading contemporary art photographers. We will discuss the concepts and aesthetic qualities of the works, and how they have been expressed through printing technique. The workshop participants will then make a selection of images to be printed and we will progress from RAW image processing through to advanced photoshop techniques to produce a set of exhibition quality prints by the end of the day.
The final stage of the workshop will review and critique the prints and discuss methods of mounting, framing and presentation.
