The Guelph Comedy Festival
secures Second
City Workshop
Guelph.
ON, April 1, 2011 – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Guelph Comedy Festival is pleased to announce that
there will be an Advanced Improv Workshop on Saturday April 30th 1pm
to 4 pm in the Ed Video Gallery with instructor Kerry Griffin from Second City.
The cost of the workshop is $30 plus tax and is separate from the festival show
prices.
Kerry Griffin is an alumni of the Toronto Mainstage, where
he was featured in the revues Barack to the Future and 0% Down, 100%
Screwed. A multiple Canadian Comedy Award winner as an individual and with
troupes Slap Happy and Monkey Toast, Kerry is also a founding member of the Bad
Dog Theatre Company. Acting credits include Train 48, Trojan Horse, Princess,
and Degrassi: The Next Generation. He has appeared on stage in productions such
as Noel Coward’s Fallen Angels, Norm Foster’s The
Melville Boys, and the Toronto production of Co-Ed Prison Sluts.
That’s right, Co-Ed Prison Sluts. It was a musical.
The Guelph Comedy Festival gratefully acknowledges the support of
Wellington Breweries, Red Tree Productions, The Loop.ca, Delta Hotels and the
City of Guelph.
Tickets for evening shows are $60 for the weekend, $35 per night or $15 per
