The vibrant and exciting program for 2011 will feature outstanding work from across Australia and abroad showcasing a wide range of photographic styles from the traditional through to digital multi-media and installation projects. There are over 100 exhibitions and events including Sydney's major museums, regional and commercial galleries along with libraries, universities, arts schools, restaurants, cafes, pubs, shopfronts office buildings and parks.

Head On Photo Festival is Sydney's only multi-genre festival featuring a wide range of Australian and international photo-media from traditional still photography to digital multi-media projects. The festival is an annual event and involves many venues across Sydney. In addition to exhibitions, the festival features numerous events for anyone interested in photography including a two-day seminar, artists' talks and a series of multi-media screenings.
The Head On Foundation is a non-profit organisation aiming to promote photography through cultural activities.
