Bradley Opera Workshop to present scenes from American operas
Peoria, IL (April 7, 2011) The Bradley University Opera Workshop will give a performance of scenes from American operas on Friday, April 15, at 7:30 p.m. in Dingeldine Music Center, located at 1417 W. Barker Avenue.
Included in the program will be scenes from Susannah and Slow Dusk by Carlisle Floyd, and from Aaron Copland’s The Tender Land.
Bradley voice students Katie Burnham, Benjamin Harding, Gregory Schamberger, Alyssa Van Etten and Emily Volz will perform along with Miss Isabelle Snyder, daughter of Bradley Theatre professor Steve Snyder. Dr. Kerry Walters, associate professor of music, is the musical and stage director and pianist Molly Sloter will provide piano accompaniment.
Admission is free for students and $5 for adults. Tickets will be available at the door. For more information, call 677-2595 or 677-2601.
