*Ville To Play Price Towerâs 3rd Thursday
BARTLESVILLE, OK – Price Tower Arts Center welcomes a local band to its Third Thursday concert for April. *Ville will play on Thursday, April 21st. The concert will be held in the Taliesin Room of Frank Lloyd Wright’s National Historic Landmark skyscraper.
“We are always pleased to host local bands to our line-up,” said Darbi Kinkaid, events coordinator for Price Tower Arts Center. “Part of the reason we started this concert series was to provide a venue for people to enjoy local, up and coming acts.”
The Bartlesville duo includes Chris Doe and Taylor Thompson. Doe plays the keyboard, harmonica and percussion, while Thompson plays guitar and sings. Their acoustic sound has proven itself very popular on stages across northeast Oklahoma.
While enjoying the concert, guests may also check out Bruce Goff: A Creative Mind in the Price Tower Arts Center gallery. The exhibition features many unrealized works by the great, Oklahoma architect. A number of 3-D animations have been developed to allow visitors to experience what Goff put on paper. Sponsors for Bruce Goff: A Creative Mind include ConocoPhillips, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Oklahoma Arts Council and Furthermore: a program of the J..M. Kaplan Fund.
*Ville recorded their debut album in 2010. Crooked Little House is available through iTunes and other online merchants. The Third Thursday concert will begin at 5:30 p.m. A cash bar and free appetizers will be available. For more information, contact Price Tower Arts Center at 918.336.4949 or online at pricetower.org.
