Ease into your workweek with a 30-minute session of guided meditation. Mindfulness teacher Micki Fine will teach participants to cultivate ease, compassion, and joy by bringing attention to their breath, their bodies, and Northwest Corner, Southeast Light.  

No experience necessary. Benches and chairs provided.

Join a discussion of actor Steve Martin's An Object of Beauty: A Novel,  

a clever and convincingly detailed portrayal of New York City's art scene, drawn from Martin's own experience as a renowned art collector.  

Bring your lunch; beverages and dessert provided. 

Northwest Corner, Southeast Light, an installation by Mary Temple,  

is on view at Rice Gallery through May 25.
