Installation: April 25 - 28
On View: Through May in Freedom Park
Rise Up Atlanta is a community project by artist Charlie Brouwer that will culminate in a temporary sculpture in Freedom Park. The sculpture will be made from ladders borrowed from across Atlanta, and bound together they will create a work of art that is metaphor for the aspirations of the whole community. Prominent tags on each ladder will identify its lender, and a list of all lenders will be available on the Flux Projects website. At the end of the project, the ladders will be returned to their owners or, if an owner prefers, donated to the Atlanta Community ToolBank.
