Workshop: Camera-less Filmmaking

Artist Vertna Bradley leads a workshop exploring the use of 16mm film as a medium, with techniques including bleaching, painting, photocopying, iron transfer, and found footage. Films created by participants will be shown during a special program on Thu, Jun 2. $10 Fee includes materials. Limited to 15 participants. Reserve your spot by e-mailing info@thecontemporary.org. Artist William Pope.L discusses his interdisciplinary works with Artistic Director Stuart Horodner and previews footage from his new film, Reenactor, about Robert E. Lee and the "psycho-geography of the South." Pope.L is one of the most talked about performance artists of his generation, putting his body through grueling acts of endurance in various contexts.

Presented in partnership with the High Museum of Art and the National Black Arts Festival. Special thanks to our hotel sponsor: The Westin Peachtree Plaza Atlanta.
