The League of Imaginary Scientists, is a non-exclusive society for creative scientists, mechanically-inclined artists, absurdist inventors and self-proclaimed quacks. They concoct interdisciplinary research projects in collaboration with scientists, technologists, and artists engaged in many media, at such institutions as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of California, San Diego, and the Cultural Exchange Station in Tabor, in the Czech Republic. Working with people from other fields, the League merges art and engineering or science or math; and their playful art projects spiral off from these collaborations, and feed back into the various fields.
