As a Human Being, I embrace diversity and have no reservations  
towards other human beings on the bases of their cultural or ethnic  
background.
As an Individual and a citizen of a North American country, I am  
concerned about our deep-rooted imperialist view of other cultures.
As a Student of Communication and Media, I am alarmed by the amount  
of images that circulate in mass media, representing a simplistic and  
one-dimensional version of the reality we believe to be true in  
foreign places.
As an Artist, I am interested in displaying the ways in which  
stereotypes and social constructions are perpetuated in the images  
that circulate via mass media. I also address the issue of  
information consumption – a habit of consuming current affairs on a  
day-to-day base without further questioning the complexity of the
