LOOK AT WHAT THE LIGHT DID NOW
Saturday, April 16 > 7 PM
MCASD La Jolla
Don’t miss MCASD’s screening of this documentary featuring Grammy-nominated musician Feist and her hard-working ‘amplifiers,’ one of which is Montreal-based performer and designer Clea Minaker. While on tour with Feist, Minaker created live shadow puppetry and video projects to create the visual landscape of the tour. Minaker will participate in a Q&A discussion following the film. Tickets can be purchased at the front desk during public hours and at the box office starting at 6 PM on the day of the event. Admission is $5 for MCASD and Sezio Members, and $10 for general admission.
This special screening is one of many planned activities surrounding Clea Minaker’s week-long residency at MCASD, focused on her recent work with shadow puppetry and light projections. Produced in collaboration with Sezio, the residency will celebrate the power of cooperation, creative production, and performance. Clea will work throughout the week at a studio space in Golden Hill, creating ephemeral, site-specific set pieces.
Here’s where you can catch Clea during her week-long residency in San Diego.
