For over a decade now, Clay has conducted an ongoing investigation into what a still life painting was and is...and can become by utilizing new-media.
Extracting memory-threads out of his usable-past, Clay manipulates familiar objects, patterns and spaces to re-evaluate and illuminate his lived experience.
At the same time, at CQ, their stated goal is “...to be different from anything out there. More interactive. More inspirational...” And they accomplish this by focusing on “...The best of art and design, quarterly”.
†Look for Bodvin’s self-portrait piece -‘Remade Memory #1’ - in CQ21.
Perhaps a perfect match of intention and execution.
