Is
it possible to stare at the sun and
not eat? Meet Mason.
Mason
is a modern day sungazer and subject of Peter
Sorcher's award-winning documentary film, Eat The Sun, a
fascinating and
thought-provoking account of this young man's journey into the
little know
world of sungazing - an ancient practice of looking directly at
the sun for
long periods of time.
Sungazing
has its roots in ancient
civilizations - from the Incas and Aztecs to the Greeks and
Egyptians - but
today, with the help of the Internet, this revived practice is
gathering global
momentum. The film follows Mason on a curious and often
hilarious cross-country
tour that links hikm with a variety of colorful sungazers
including the real
life Indiana Jones, a Hollywood lawyer and a sungazing
ophthalmologist.
Eat The Sun is the story of one man's struggle
to uncover the truth and ultimately reveals the power of belief.
This
captivating film will challenge your deepest held beliefs.

As a thanks
to our FilmBar

In July 1956,
the
five-member Barstow family of Wethersfield, Connecticut, won a
free trip to the
newly-opened Disneyland in Anaheim, California, in a nationwide
contest. This
30-minute amateur documentary film tells the fabulous story of
their
fun-filled, dream-come-true, family travel adventure, filmed on
the scene at
Walt Disney's "Magic Kingdom" by Robbins Barstow.
In December 2008, "Disneyland Dream" was named to the National
Film
Registry by the Librarian of Congress.
The Barstow
family’s film is
both funny and a real slice of amateur film Americana.
Shown with a
special 11
minute “mystery short film” that will rock you in your seat!
