KENOSHA, WI – Experience Kohler, past
and present, during a bus trip from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday,
May 11 with the Kenosha Public Museum.
Learn about the history of the village
and the family who are an important part of Wisconsin’s past and
present. Tour the John Michael Kohler Arts Center and see a series of
exhibits under the umbrella title, Animal Magnetism. These
exhibits include paintings, photographs, drawings, sculptures and
mixed-media works that explore the dynamic and changing relationship
between people and animals. Don’t forget to stroll through the
sculpture garden. Travel to Kohler where a step-on guide provides a
detailed history of the Village of Kohler. See some of the wonderful
gardens that adorn Kohler and the American Club. After lunch at the
American Club, visit “The Waelderhaus,” a recreated alpine home
typical of the Austrian ancestral homeland of the Kohler family. Cost
of the trip is $75 or $65 for Friends of Museums. Lunch is included.
Advance registration is needed by April 30.
