KENOSHA, WI – A
new exhibit, Visions of
Nature: Photographs by Brian Wolf will
be on display April 30 through October 2, 2011 in the Kenosha Public
Museum's West Gallery.
A reception and book signing will take
place from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 8 on the second floor Friends Gallery
Mezzanine.
Wolf
is a photographer from Kenosha who haunts natural parks and
wilderness areas far and wide. He has gathered thousands of stunning
images, from plants and animals to breathtaking vistas, with a Nikon
single lens digital camera and a variety of lenses. His images can be
seen at nature centers and other educational and promotional outlets,
as well as in the award winning photography/poetry book, Lingering...
Soulful Reflections.
The
poetry book is a beautiful photographic journal of reflective verse.
This inspirational coffee table book, with writings by Judith Dancing
and photography by Brian Wolf, is the first in a series of Soulful
Reflections.
Lingering...Soulful
Reflections is
a book that begins the journey into the stages of faith development.
A wonderful gift offering a journey of introspection, awareness and
ultimately feeling at home in ourselves, our families, our
communities, our world and the universe that we inhabit.
Brian Wolf gives a workshop for
“point-and-shoot” camera users on how to improve your vacation
photos from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Apr. 30 at the Kenosha
Public Museum.
This workshop will teach people how
their camera works. Topics include composition, light, exposure and
depth of field. Though class time does not permit individual
assistance, participants are encouraged to bring their cameras and
manuals so they have something to refer to as these topics are
covered. Advance registration required. Cost of workshop is $15 or
$10 for Friends of the Museums.
