Our Avalon Ball committee has been working hard since (well, since the day after the LAST Avalon Ball, to be truthful) to make this already wonderful event even better! We’ve already got the perfect place (and what a place—the Art Deco gem Avalon Ballroom!), we’ve got the orchestra (Dean Mora and the Avalon Ball Dance Orchestra–‘nuff said!). Now we’ve added a great new travel package for the 2011 Avalon Ball that can save you big money on your transportation and hotel stay–and make reservations fast and easy! Complete details regarding NEW 2011 "Best Value" Avalon Ball Package can be found on our website.

24th Annual Silent Film Benefit
Saturday, May 14th, 1:00-4:00pm.
Many have asked and we are happy to confirm that the Catalina Island Museum will be holding their annual silent film benefit on the same day as the Ball.
This year's feature film is The Sea Hawk (1924) starring Lloyd Hughes, Milton Sills, Enid Bennett and Wallace Beery. The Sea Hawk was filmed around Catalina Island. The film will be accompanied by the original score played on a rare pipe organ, special guests and you will be viewing a restored print of the film.
Tickets are $15 general admission.
