GRAMMY WINNERS KORN ROCK MUSIKFEST AUG. 13
BETHLEHEM, PA—Grammy Award winning rock band Korn, along with special guest Art of Dying, will tear up the Sands Steel Stage at Musikfest® on Sat., Aug. 13 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the show, which is sponsored by WZZO, are $30 and $42 and will go on sale starting Tues., April 26, 10 a.m., to ArtsQuest Members and Fri., April 29, 10 a.m., to the public. They will be available at www.musikfest.org or 610-332-3378.
Over the course of eight full-length releases, Korn has sold in excess of 30 million albums and played countless sold-out shows worldwide. The band has won two Grammys - one for Best Short Form Video for "Freak on a Leash" from 1998’s Follow the Leader and one for Best Metal Performance for "Here to Stay" from 2002’s Untouchables - and has launched a massively successful festival of its own, The Family Values Tour.
Korn’s ninth offering, Korn III - Remember Who You Are, released in July 2010, is the group’s first effort for Roadrunner Records, and it bursts at the seams with that very feeling that defined the band from the get-go. The album, which hit No. 1 on the Billboard Modern Rock/Alternative Albums charts and No. 2 on the Billboard 200, captures the group's legendary performance style that has ignited crowds worldwide on stages ranging from OZZfest and Projekt Revolution to Woodstock and Download. It's the same spirit that gave pop culture hits such as "Blind," "A.D.I.D.A.S.," "Got the Life," "Falling Away from Me" and "Twisted Transistor."
Canadian alt rockers Art of Dying formed in 2004 and issued their self-titled debut in 2006. Earlier this year, the group released Vices and Virtues, which reached No. 9 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums charts and No. 31 on the Top Rock Albums charts. The group has shared the stage with rock acts ranging from Disturbed and Seether to Stone Sour and Halestorm.
