Determination, hard work, dedication:
Nebraska values devoted to
Nebraska quilts.
Twenty-five years ago a dedicated group of 21 volunteers set out to document Nebraska quilts that remained in private hands, fearful that the rich heritage inherent in the family quilts would be lost forever if not recorded. This exhibition celebrates their work, showcasing quilts documented in the process.

The IQSCM has partnered with the Quilt Index to conduct a survey of international quilt collections across the globe. The survey is part of a collaborative planning process funded by the U.S. Institute for Museum and Library Services.
The survey will help us to create international partnerships, as well as build on a public listing of international collections of quilts and quilt documentation.
