Conrad Freiburg is our Artist-in-residence and creator of the Gallery 1 exhibition
It Is What It Isn't. His fascination with Nothing has also inspired the upcoming
Empty Set performance. We caught up with him while creating artwork in his studio space.
Q: Who's your favorite artist?
A: Oh, man! That;s hard to say. There's not one! Robert Irwin, Willem De Kooning...
Q: Cubs or Sox?
A: Sox.
Q: What's the last exhibition you saw?
A: The Magic Bone at Rodin.
Q: What was your favorite grade in school?
A: 2nd grade.
Q: Are you good or bad at sports?
A: Bad. I never understood... why chase the ball? I was more interested in the bugs. (Conrad neglected to mention that he's nearly a pro at Aikido martial arts. He claims he's only a student)
