Alpine troughs—hand-made rustic containers—function as miniature, self-contained rock gardens that display diminutive plants in a small amount of space. Don't miss this once-a-year opportunity to spend the day with plantsman Dave Culp and Assistant Director of Public Programs Laurel Rimmer, making a trough, planting a trough and learning all about Wave Hill's own troughs and collection of alpine plants. Recommended for ages 12 and up. Pre-registration recommended
