The inaugural episode of ESP TV airs on Manhattan Neighborhood Network on April 27th at 9:30PM. Come gather around 11 TVs with us at Angels and Kings in the East Village and watch it happen live through the magic of public television. Sure you could watch it online later, but wouldn't you rather enjoy the communal feeling of crowds watching a dying medium together in a bar that usually only happens with sports events, political debates or major disasters?
This is the first episode of a regular TV showcase of NYC based artists produced by Louis V E.S.P. made possible by help from our friends at Vaudeville Park. Each episode is taped "in front of a live studio audience" with live primitive video effects processing and a rotating lineup of illustrious hosts.
The bar has been kind enough to let us totally "take over" on these nights so for these "TV Parties", Ian M. Colletti (Vaudeville Park) will be bartending while Scott Kiernan and David McDaniel (Totally Wired, Life After Breakfast) DJ throughout the night. Live performers for subsequent nights to be announced.
Episode #2 screens the following Wednesday, May 4th at 9:30 on Channel 56 (Time Warner) and 83 (RCN).
For those that cannot make it out, the show will be available online after each screening and on VHS editions of 100.
