Entry Deadline: May 2nd YOUR QUILTS BELONG IN IMAGES 2011 Everyone says your quilts are beautiful. Enter one (or two or three!) in this summer's IMAGES Quilt Show. Share your work with New England's most appreciative audience. IMAGES is part of the annual Lowell Quilt Festival, a citywide festival of quilts. This year's Festival will be held August 11-13, when visitors from all over North America converge on Lowell to enjoy great quilts and other textile arts. IMAGES welecomes entries from new quilters as well as seasoned experts. There's even a special Youth Quilts category--we're passing the love of quilting on to a new generation! Entering a quilt is easy. You can find all the info you need and an entry form to download at: http://lowellquiltfestival.org/quiltentry.htm Entries should be postmarked no later than May 2nd (pushed back from May 1st, a Sunday). Send in your entry today. Then, come to Lowell this August. You'll be so glad you did! Lowell Quilt Festival 2011 SPECIAL EVENTS ALL OVER TOWN Those who have attended previous Lowell Quilt Festivals know that it is indeed a citywide celebration. Museums and galleries throughout Lowell offer superb exhibits of quilts, textiles and fiber-related crafts. These partner sites are all accessible by riding the FREE hop-on/hop-off shuttle bus. The excitement happens throughout the Festival, but one signature event is Gallery Night, when partner galleries and museums are open FREE from 5 – 8 PM. This year, Gallery Night is Friday, August 12. It coincides with another citywide event, Lowell Fridays Al Fresco: Noon until Moon, when you'll enjoy restaurant specials and other happenings throughout the downtown area. Plan to make Gallery Night part of your Lowell Quilt Festival experience this August! Come with a Carload of Friends!
