TWO WEEKS BEFORE OPENING IN SAN FRANCISCO
artMRKT LAUNCHES PRE-FAIR AUCTION
TO BENEFIT
BAY AREA ARTS ORGANIZATIONS

April 27, 2011, San Francisco – San Francisco’s upcoming contemporary and modern art fair – artMRKT San Francisco – will launch their MRKTworks Auction Program online on Tuesday, May 3rd at 3:30pm (PST), two weeks in advance of artMRKT’s San Francisco opening on Thursday, May 19th.

Benefiting five esteemed Bay Area arts organizations, the MRKTworks Auction Program will feature five individual works donated by participating artMRKT dealers. Bidders will be able to view the pieces and place bids either online, via a mobile device, or on-site during the Fair with MRKTworks staff on May 19th, 20th and 21st. MRKTworks closes on Saturday, May 21st at 3:00pm (PST), followed by an onsite closing event from 3-4:30PM (PST) honoring the benefiting arts organizations and donor galleries.

Notes Max Fishko, co-founder of artMRKT Productions, “In an effort to integrate our fair into the landscape of San Francisco’s art institutions and give back to the community, artMRKT has created the MRKTworks auction program.
